Being Bilingual

Here is the information about our monthly meeting.

We suggest to talk about : BEING BILINGUAL.

What is it to be bilingual? When can I say I am bilingual?
Or am I multilingual?
What are the advantages of being bilingual? Advantages for now? For the future?

How can I help myself and my children to be bilingual?
Let's come and share about the topic.

You may have heard: "you should speak English only as you are in an English-speaking country"! Do you agree? Why being bilingual is then an advantage for you and your children?

After presenting the idea of bilingualism, and all the points surrounding the beauty of being bilingual, we will have an open floor for questions and discussion.

When: Tuesday 27 March 2012
Time: starting at 8:15 pm

Hope there will be many of you.

Please feel free to bring along your friends

Please let us know if can come on multilingualcafe@gmail.com and we will tell you where we are meeting

MULTICULTURAL COOKING

Dear Members,

Cooking and eating is part of the culture of a nation and its people.

As a Multicultural group, we have decided to share between the members the dishes that are so typical in our countries, the dishes which remind us of our childhood, the dishes we have discovered when travelling, the dishes which we love cooking

We have set up a website http://multiculturalcooking.jimdo.com/
It is empty at the moment.

We hope you are ready to help us fill it up.

How can you do? Very simple.
Just send us (on multilingualcafe@gmail.com) your cooking recipes in your home languages accompanied with a translation in English and / or in French.
Add a photo of the finished dish, so we have an idea of what it is like.

And we will publish it on the website.

Tell us as well if you wish to have your name appear or not.

We hope many of you will join in this International Cooking Website.

Bon Appétit every one !!
